Selling is not an Unskilled Occupation!
The Sales Diagnostic Questionnaire (SDQ) is a repeatedly validated sales competency model that looks at 204 observable skilled competencies in 31 different areas of selling (prospecting, establishing value, presenting, closing, negotiating, etc.). It’s free. www.SalesDiagnosticQuestionnaire.com.
Take sections of it as you can make time. It could take 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Each time you log back in you’ll go to the place where you left off.
The reports are immediately available when you submit the last question page.
Select the Graph Report and deselect all the options except your scores and your level of criticality to selling score. Print this page. You can of course make other selections to look at such as industry averages. But, I would say no more than two selections because after that the graph appears cluttered.
Each of the 31 categories has a course or other resource for you to improve in the areas you (via the SDQ) feel need it either on LearnSellingOnline.com or in the private site your company set up for you. You can see this cross reference by selecting the link on www.LearnSellingOnline.com. Select the “Dx” button at the top of the page and then the link in the explanation of the SDQ or, select: http://www.learnsellingonline.com/Assessments/SDQtoLSO-Course.html.
Also print the Narrative Report. This will provide you with recommendations for resources and actions that are available in locations other than our online learning sites.
Selling is a profession and as a “sales professional” it’s your responsibility to understand where your skills are strong and where you could find room for improvement.
Now you have a free resource to help support your efforts to be the best!
