Call reluctance, more commonly known as "fear of cold calling" can be a crippling malady for those in the profession of selling who must cold call. Fear of public speaking is another serious condition for those in sales who must give large group presentations. You should know that many people in the profession of selling will develop some form of call reluctance during their career in selling. For many, it can be a career ender. For others, it's just something unpleasant they make themselves do everyday. It doesn't have to be this way. Signs to look for include doing everything possible other than cold calling. Spending more time preparing to call than calling. In more severe cases, some may break out in a sweat or hives. This is an extreme gut wrenching emotionally devastating condition that can be successfully treated. The cure (and yes there is a cure) is rapid and permanent. Their are two methods that have proven effective and when used in combination they produce lasting results. First is kinesiology. By tapping the overcharged energy meridian the perturbance can be released and the fear will dissipate immediately. Secondly, through the use of neuro-linguistic programming and hypnosis as needed.
